On 19 January 2024, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan № ZRU-899 "On Amendments and Additions to the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Administrative Liability Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted.

This Law introduces measures of administrative and criminal liability for illegal turnover of crypto-assets and illegal mining activities.

The new administrative and criminal liability provisions will come into force three months after the official publication of this Law.

In this regard, we strongly recommend that you strictly comply with the law in order to avoid punishment.

We also remind that from 1 January 2023, citizens and legal entities of Uzbekistan may conduct transactions on purchase, sale and exchange of crypto-assets exclusively through national service providers.
