NAPP staff took part in the training of the US Securities and Exchange Commission
Representatives of the National Agency for Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the training dedicated to the role of credit rating agencies in the securities market.
The event was organized by the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The keynote speaker at the event was Abraham Putney, Senior Counsel in the Office of Credit Ratings at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. In his speech, he dwelt in detail on the key aspects of the work of credit rating agencies, including conflict of interest management, corporate governance and internal control mechanisms.
The event participants included representatives of financial institutions, regulatory experts, as well as students and experts of specialized educational institutions from different countries. The discussion generated great interest and allowed the participants to exchange views on current trends and challenges facing credit rating agencies in the context of a rapidly changing financial landscape.
The event also touched on the future regulation of credit rating agencies and their impact on investment decisions, which is certainly of great importance to all market participants.
