A meeting was held at the National Agency of Perspective Projects with the Executive Director of J.P. Morgan Clemens Gerdenitsch. Chairman of the Board of the Republican Stock Exchange "Tashkent" Georgiy Paresishvili also joined the engagement.

During the meeting, a dialogue took place on issues of further development of cooperation between J.P. Morgan and authorised bodies and financial institutions of Uzbekistan.

Representatives of the Agency outlined the priorities for the development of the local stock market and informed about the creation of a "regulatory sandbox" in the field of the capital market.

Clemens Gerdenitsch highly commended the initiative, which is aimed at attracting the world's leading investment institutions to Uzbekistan.

In this regard, the work to attract leading global players such as Euroclear and Clearstream to the local market was noted as well.

J.P. Morgan representative expressed the interest of the company's management in diversifying cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also outlined the need to improve mechanisms for the withdrawal of funds by foreign investors to increase the attractiveness of the Uzbek stock market.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
