The National agency of perspective projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan -
is a state institution responsible for regulation, licensing, and permitting procedures in the sphere of crypto-assets turnover, capital market, insurance, e-commerce, lotteries and gambling activities.
The National Agency of Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan has registered the Open Joint-Stock Company “Central Depository of Armenia” (Republic of Armenia) as a participant of the special legal regime “Regulatory Sandbox” in the capital market sector.
The participation of foreign entities in the Regulatory Sandbox contributes to the introduction of advanced international practices of the securities market, facilitates access for foreign investors to the local capital market, and supports the development of legal mechanisms for introducing new forms and methods of attracting investments into the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Background: The Open Joint-Stock Company “Central Depository of Armenia” (hereinafter — CDA) serves as the operator of the Unified System of Securities Registration and Settlement in the Republic of Armenia. The CDA’s activities comply with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards. The depository holds a BBB rating assigned by the British rating agency Thomas Murray. In addition, the CDA is a member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) and a member of the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD).
