The National Agency of Perspective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NAPP) would like to remind all citizens and legal entities of Uzbekistan starting from January 1^st, 2023, all operations (purchase, sale, crypto-assets exchange and etc.) with crypto-assets must be carried out through national Service Providers according to special legal acts.

Reference: at the same time, the special legal acts, regulating crypto-assets turnover sphere, provided no rights for citizens and legal entities to conduct operations with crypto-assets until January 1^st, 2023. NAPP’s statement on legitimacy of foreign platforms use was published on NAPP’s official website this year.

Thus, any transactions conducted with crypto-assets on platforms have not received the appropriate license in Uzbekistan, will be considered as a law violation entailing the established measures of administrative, criminal and other types of responsibility.

Today, in Uzbekistan appropriate licenses were issued and one crypto-exchange and four crypto-shops operations were organized (required information could be found by addressing to the electronic registry on NAPP's official website).

NAPP does urge citizens and entrepreneurs to conduct operations with crypto-assets through the national Service Providers according to norms given with the special legal acts.
